Hydrangea Petiolaris - Climbing Hydrangea - 3L Pot

This climbing plant with white flowers produces an abundant bloom between May and June. The Petiolaris climbing hydrangea is very vigorous and can climb up to 6 m on a wall.

Its inflorescence is 20 to 25 cm in diameter, in an umbel. This climbing plant offers small, fertile white flowers, surrounded by a crown of sterile flowers.

Easy to maintain, the Petiolaris climbing hydrangea is equipped with small aerial roots that allow it to attach itself to its support. It easily adapts to the support provided, such as:

• Wire/cable
• Fencing, trellis, wooden or metal lattice
• Tree
• Pergola

This climbing shrub is ideal for flowering a shaded area. Furthermore, it can be grown in a pot. Hydrangea Petiolaris is a hardy climbing plant that adapts to various climates, but a shaded exposure is recommended. The petiolaris tolerates winter temperatures down to -20°C.

HOW TO PLANT THIS HYDRANGEA ANOMALA?

Plant it all year round, outside of periods of extreme cold. Remove the plant from its pot. Soak the root ball for 15 minutes in water. Then, dig a hole 3 times larger than the root ball and mix a bag of potting soil enriched with fertilizer into the ground. Bury the root ball deep enough (5 cm below ground level). Pack down and water generously (a full watering can).

Pick off the faded flowers from the previous year; it will be able to rebloom with your help.

HOW TO CARE FOR THE PETIOLARIS CLIMBING HYDRANGEA?

To keep it healthy and for beautiful colors, fertilize your climbing hydrangea by mixing an organic fertilizer (crushed horn, guano, dried blood, etc.) into the soil. Add 2 good handfuls per plant. And if you don't want to have too much weeding to do during the year, don't hesitate to put mulch at the base of your plant. It will limit the growth of weeds and keep the base of your plant cool.

The boxes are adapted to the size of our plants and are equipped with supports. These four small openings at the ends allow the plant to breathe during the journey. We use a compostable plastic bag made from bio-based materials to cover the base of your plant (the soil is thus well preserved). We use very little adhesive tape and do not use bubble wrap. A box can contain up to two plants while protecting them effectively.

We work with the DPD network for the shipment of your packages. We guarantee delivery within 5 working days after receipt of your order. DPD delivery times are generally 1 to 3 working days after the package is picked up. In metropolitan France, home or relay point delivery fees are only €10 (already included in the unit price).
