Lonicera japonica 'Halliana' - Japanese Honeysuckle - 3L Pot
Highly decorative, it blooms all summer long. Its trumpet-shaped flowers are white, fading to yellow, and its green foliage is semi-evergreen. A honeysuckle with twining stems, climbing up to 6 m on their support.
An essential climbing plant for the garden, Japanese honeysuckle has many qualities. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, it is a hardy climber that is easy to grow. It requires little maintenance, making it ideal for amateur gardeners. It adapts to all types of climates, with hardiness down to -15°C.
However, it will retain its semi-evergreen foliage in areas with mild climates. Japanese honeysuckle enjoys sunny to semi-shaded exposures. It performs just as well in open ground as it does in pots. The Lonicera japonica 'Hall's Prolific' is a vigorous and very floriferous variety.
Its flowering extends over several months (from May to October). Its trumpet-shaped flowers will adorn your outdoor space while diffusing a pleasant fragrance. This honeysuckle is a twining climbing vine that will scale any support provided to it.
It can twine around a wire, cable, trellis, or even larger surfaces like a pergola or fence. It can also decorate a dead tree and makes an excellent ground cover. During the autumn, its leaves bear small, toxic black berries. The Lonicera japonica 'Hall's Prolific' honeysuckle shows good resistance to disease.
HOW TO PLANT YOUR JAPANESE HONEYSUCKLE
All year round, except during periods of extreme cold. Remove from the pot. Soak the root ball for 15 minutes in water. Dig a hole 3 times larger than the root ball and mix a bag of potting soil enriched with fertilizer into the ground. Bury the root ball quite deeply (5 cm below soil level). Pack the soil down and water abundantly (a full watering can).
HOW TO PRUNE YOUR SHRUBBY OR CLIMBING HONEYSUCKLE
Your honeysuckle needs a good spring cleaning! Prune and remove the branches that grew the previous year.
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR SEMI-EVERGREEN HONEYSUCKLE
To stay healthy and display beautiful colors, fertilize your honeysuckle by mixing an organic fertilizer into the soil (crushed horn, guano, dried blood...) using 2 good handfuls per plant. And if you don't want too much weeding work during the year, don't hesitate to mulch the base of your plant. It will limit weed growth and keep the base of your plant cool.
HOW ARE YOUR PLANTS PACKAGED?
We have developed a custom-made box for our products to facilitate packaging and limit transport-related risks. The boxes are adapted to the size of our plants and are equipped with wedges. These four small openings at the ends allow the plant to breathe during transit. We use a compostable plastic bag made from bio-based materials to cover the base of your plant (this keeps the soil well-preserved). We use very little adhesive tape and do not use bubble wrap. A box can contain up to two plants while protecting them effectively.
WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS AND DELIVERY TIMES?
