Wisteria Sinensis - Chinese Blue Wisteria - 3L Pot

€45,50

A very floriferous variety, it is a fast-growing vine that twines up to 6 m on its support. A beautiful plant with large, full, purplish-blue, fragrant clusters. Blooms in May-June, with a second flush in summer.

A staple plant in the garden, it is recognized for its voluminous habit and ornamental qualities. Its massive flowering is remarkable for decorating a garden, a terrace, or even a balcony. Its deciduous foliage is tinted with different colors throughout the seasons.

The Chinese wisteria does not have tendrils or suckers to cling to a support. It manages to twine naturally thanks to its robust vines. Its vines twine counter-clockwise (to the left). Particularly fragrant, its flowers appear before the foliage in spring. It may bloom again in the summer.

Its vigor allows it to cover any type of support (wire, cable, tree, trellis, fencing). It is widely used to embellish an arbor or a pergola. Its drooping flower clusters are ideal for shading a terrace. The Chinese wisteria is perfectly suited for pot cultivation.

Adored by gardeners for its ease of cultivation, the Wisteria sinensis species is not demanding. It does not tolerate overly chalky soils well, but it adapts to all other soil types. A hardy variety down to -15°C.

HOW TO PLANT YOUR CHINESE WISTERIA?

All year round, except during periods of extreme cold. Remove from the pot. Soak the root ball for 15 minutes in water. Dig a hole 3 times larger than the root ball and mix a bag of potting soil enriched with fertilizer into the earth. Bury the root ball deep enough (5 cm below soil level). Pack down and water copiously (a full watering can).

HOW TO PRUNE YOUR WISTERIA SINENSIS?

To make your wisteria bloom. Cut the previous year's branches 20 to 30 cm from their base.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CHINESE WISTERIA?

To keep it healthy and ensure beautiful colors, fertilize your honeysuckle by mixing an organic fertilizer (crushed horn, guano, dried blood, etc.) into the soil, 2 good handfuls per plant. And if you don't want too much weeding work during the year, don't hesitate to put mulch at the base of your plant. It will limit weed growth and keep the roots of your plant cool.

HOW ARE YOUR PLANTS PACKED?

We have developed a custom-made box for our products to facilitate their packaging and limit transport-related risks. The boxes are adapted to the size of our plants and are equipped with supports. These four small openings at the ends allow the plant to breathe during the journey. We use a compostable plastic bag made from bio-based materials to cover the base of your plant (the soil is thus well preserved). We use very little adhesive tape and do not use bubble wrap. A box can hold up to two plants while protecting them effectively.
