Off the grid for days but well-prepared? The Petromax kx25 passive cooler allows you to be self-sufficient during your adventures for several days. The ultra-passive cooling system operates solely with commercially available ice, ice packs, or dry ice. The double-walled, insulated kx25 cooler keeps ice frozen for up to 12 days, all without a compressor! An unbeatable advantage: the interior of the kx25 (25 l) is designed so that you can transport either 24 x 0.33 l cans or 12 x 1 l bottles in an upright position. The Petromax Cooler is also ideal for storing fresh catch or provisions you have brought along.

Large-capacity cooling system

The Petromax Cooler's insulation layer, at least 45 mm thick, ensures long-lasting temperature resistance inside during your excursion. That's not all: the sturdy polyethylene body is stable enough that you can easily use the cooler as a seat or a tabletop. This allows you to fish comfortably or enjoy the surrounding view. Thanks to its straight-edged construction, the kx25 can also be stored easily in a cargo area or below deck. Filling with ice and the subsequent cleaning of the cooling chamber are made easier by the integrated drain system. You can therefore always – especially during use – drain melted ice. This allows you to extend the cooling time according to your needs.

Adventure-ready handling

The requirements for reliable equipment are particularly high for outdoor cooking and wilderness use. Extremely long temperature stability and other features make the Petromax Cooler adventure-ready: thanks to recesses in the lid, cross-strapping is possible. You can then secure your kx25 safely for transport on your boat deck or in your pickup truck. The ergonomic carrying handles on both sides can also be used as strap guides so that the cooler can be opened securely during transport. The non-slip rubber latches can be operated with one hand, and you can hold them firmly even with wet fingers. With the locking plates combined with a standard U-lock, you can protect your food from wild animals. The four rubber feet on the bottom of the cooler ensure a stable position and also allow for airflow from below.

Proper use of the cooler

• Pre-cool the cooler a day before use in a cold space or with ice
• Only fill with pre-chilled drinks and food
• Ideally use large blocks of ice
• Always place dry ice, ice packs, or crushed ice on top, as cold sinks downwards
• Open sparingly and consciously
• When on the road, place the cooler in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight
• Transport and store in an upright position
