kx50-sand
Petromax 50L Passive Cooler Sand

Independent cooling – enjoy the freedom

Staying without power for days while being well-prepared? The Petromax kx50 passive cooler allows you to be self-sufficient during your adventures for several days. The ultra-passive cooling system works solely with commercially available ice, ice packs, or dry ice. The double-walled, insulated kx50 cooler keeps ice cool for up to 12 days, all without a compressor! An unbeatable advantage: the interior of the kx50 (50 l) is designed so that you can transport either 70 x 0.33 l cans or 20 x 1 l bottles standing upright. The Petromax cooler is also ideal for storing fresh fish from fishing trips or provisions brought along.

Large-scale cooling system

The Petromax cooler's insulation layer of at least 45 mm ensures the longest possible temperature resistance inside during your excursion. That’s not all: the robust polyethylene body is so stable that you can easily use the cooler as a seat or a surface. You can therefore fish comfortably or enjoy the view of the surroundings. Thanks to its straight-edged construction, the kx50 can also be easily stowed in cargo areas or under the deck. Filling with ice and subsequent cleaning of the cooling chamber is facilitated by the integrated drain system. You can therefore always—especially during use—drain melted ice, thereby extending the cooling time according to your needs.

Adventure-ready handling

Requirements for reliable equipment are particularly high for outdoor cooking and outdoor use. The extremely long temperature stability and other features make the Petromax cooler adventure-ready: thanks to the recesses in the lid, cross-lashing is possible. You can then safely stow your kx50 for transport on the deck of your boat or on a pickup truck. The ergonomic carrying handles on both sides can also be used as strap guides so that the cooler can be opened securely during transport. The non-slip rubber latches can be operated with one hand and provide a firm grip, even with wet fingers. With the locking plates combined with a standard U-lock, you can protect your food from wild animals. The four rubber feet on the bottom of the cooler ensure a stable position and also provide airflow from underneath.

The Petromax kx50 cooler gives you the freedom to explore outdoor cooking over an open fire.

Proper use of the cooler

• Pre-cool the cooler one day before use in a cold space or with ice
• Only fill with well-chilled drinks and food
• It is best to use large ice blocks
• Always place dry ice, ice packs, or crushed ice on top, as cold sinks downwards
• Open consciously and sparingly
• While on the road, place the cooler in a shaded spot and avoid direct sunlight
• Transport and store in an upright position

Technical specifications
Material: PE
External dimensions (H x W x D): 50 x 68.5 x 48.5 cm
Internal dimensions (H x W x D): 34 x 42.5 x 29.2 cm
Dimensions with packaging (H x W x D): 52 x 70 x 50 cm
Weight (in kg): 14.9
Weight with packaging (in kg): 17.3
Filling capacity (max.): 50 l

Items included
1 x Petromax kx50 Passive Cooler Sand
1 x User manual (German/English/French)
